In His Majesty's Footsteps
In the forests and in the hills, travelling conditions are often very tough. In the monsoon season, even where there are unpaved roads, the tracks can become very muddy and slippery. On certain grades even to walk without slipping is very difficult. On one occasion when Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn was young, he accompanied his father on trips to visit the country people. It was drizzling on that day and the water run off from the hills was quite heavy, which made travelling conditions difficult. Along the way, the Crown Prince slipped and fell several times due to the slippery surface of the tracks, but he was determined to face the challenge no matter how difficult it might be.This is the result of the strict disciplines taught to all of Their Majesties children who were brought up to serve the subjects without any regard for personal comfort or danger. In fact, all the Royal children have been well groomed to follow the good examples and footsteps of their Royal parents.
